Analyst

Role Summary:

The Analyst in the Maintenance and Repair Department will be responsible for evaluating data, analyzing, problem-solving, making recommendations, and implementing positive results for the 3rd party invoicing of estimates within the M&R system. They will also assist with approvals in designated areas within the M&R system, maintain parts inventories at depots, and ensure storm units/derailment units, etc. are estimated and reported to claims. The Analyst will also be responsible for the maintenance of the system's parts pricing table, identifying long dwell ONE line equipment, assisting with loaded container damages and over-the-road breakdowns, and assisting with empty damage container repositioning & returns.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Working with foreign ports for identifying third-party cost recovery opportunities
• Managing email notifications for spare parts requests and arranging replenishments to vessels
• Managing email notifications for data download requests, working with vendors to supply in a timely manner
• Developing vendor relationships to leverage for both cost and service gains
• Creating meaningful KPI that will assist in teams' abilities to identify operational and cost efficiencies
• Working with Equipment Control teams to identify third-party recoverable items

    • Prior transportation equipment experience
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and/or Google Suite

    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Intimate understanding of new and changing customer demands/expectations
      Required Minimum Years Experience:
      
      2+ years of function-related/industry-related or equivalent education
      
      Required Minimum Education:
      
      Associates Degree Preferred
