Job Title:

Senior Analyst - Reefer Operations

Role Summary:

Works to achieve operational targets within the subject of expertise on a regional and/or dept basis.

Manages staff within Reefer Operations, and provides short-term tactical and operational oversight in

assigned areas. Provides improvements to existing processes/standards to support division goals.

Supports management team of reefer operation activities and executes the assigned tasks.

Additional Responsibilities:

Monitors train on-time performance, equipment levels, service disruptions, and service enhancements. Responsible for the management of reefer rail operations and monitoring the performance of rail partners. Develops department expertise to be a key resource and access point for customers and vendors in the highly sensitive reefer trade. Monitors and ensures reefers/Power Pack Unit fleets are managed to projected demands. Maintains good working relationships with key railroad personnel and partners. Develops, tracks, and monitors vendor performance including the creation of tools for ease of tracking performance. Identifies underperforming rail lanes and develops recommendations for improvements. Communicates ideas for system improvements to the business process department and acts as the main point of contact for the testing of system modifications for rail-related modules. Establishes processes and measurements to ensure that external KPIs relating to east/westbound rail vessel connections are achieved. Ensures that customer-specific reports are provided timely and accurately as per requirements. Prepares cost budgets and reconciles monthly expenses and credits.

  • Applies logical methods utilizing analytical skills and experience for best-suited approach; able to resolve complex issues
    
    Required Minimum Years Experience:
    
    5+ years of industry experience and 2+ years' experience managing reefer operations on a regional level
    
    Required Minimum Education:
    
    Bachelor's Degree preferred
