Wilo USA acquired Weil Pump and Scot Pump in 2017, American-Marsh Pumps in 2019 and QuantumFlo in October 2021, HydroServe in 2023 and Plad in 2023.Position SummaryThe Lean Manufacturing Intern will assist in identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects by utilizing lean tools and techniques like 6S, Kaizen events, value stream mapping and standard work. Roles and Responsibilities

• Maximize efficiencies by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
• Ability to design fixtures and shadow boards.
• Determine the parts, equipment and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals.
• Utilize lean manufacturing techniques including but not limited to time studies, line balance, coordination of Kaizen and Workshop events, work instructions and hour x hour boards.
• Review of manufacturing areas for potential safety hazards and make sure that all the safety practices are being followed while implementing new processes.
• Deploy PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) for problem solving.Requirements:Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management or related field
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Lean Certification helpful, but not required.
  • Independent and a self-starter
