Job Description

Position Overview

As a Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for the remote monitoring, operation, and analysis of Invenergy's fleet of wind and solar farms, and battery storage facilities.

Responsibilities

* Remotely monitor and reset wind turbines, solar inverters, and other plant equipment * Manage balance of plant controls: power/curtailments, voltage, reactive power, other controls * Communicate and coordinate with site technicians, customers, and power markets * Analyze data, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues * Monitor weather at sites for safety of maintenance technicians * Work independently or collaboratively on projects and initiatives that enhance the operations and reliability of the control center * Position will be on a rotating shift that will require the person to work nights, weekends, and some holidays

Required Skills

* Bachelor's Degree in a course of study that demonstrates strong analytical and technical skills * Or Associate Degree plus 2 years of relevant experience * Or military service experience in positions that require communication and analytical and decision-making skills * Strong oral and written communication skills * Problem solving and critical thinking

Preferred Skills

* Experience with Microsoft Excel * Experience with wind turbines and SCADA software * Knowledge of data monitoring software such as PI
