Job Description Bi-Lingual (Spanish) Patient Account Resolution Representative JOB SUMMARY: Patient Account Resolution and Collections via communication with patients, guardians and service providers. Ensures the delivery of exceptional patient services by putting patients needs first and displaying: A willingness to listen to the patient and determine their situation A desire to resolve patient issues and solve patient questions A determination to meet or exceed client and employer expectations for account resolution and handling as well as HIPAA rules and patient information security MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary Functions: Account resolution via patient communication Inbound and Outbound customer service contact with patients Processing rebills & correspondence Additional responsibilities, as assigned Documentation Document notes into clients Collection system Address patients questions, concerns and requests Generate rebills for open balances Correct insurance information so bills can be redirected WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Professional office environment Heavy telephone work. JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Excellent communication and organizational skills Problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks Excellent system documentation skills required EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: High school diploma or equivalent/some college preferred JOB RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one-year customer service or collection experience (healthcare preferred). Medical billing courses may take the place of on-the-job experience Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word experience desired Epic or similar medical billing system experience preferred This job requires access to confidential and sensitive patient information, requiring a high level of employee discretion The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter who is analytical and understands the medical billing process from date of service through resolution Job Requirements EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: High school diploma or equivalent/some college preferred JOB RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one-year customer service or collection experience (healthcare preferred).
