As a leading North American provider of environmental services, Clean Harbors seeks a committed Class A CDL Equipment Operator for our Emergency Response team. This position requires handling hazardous materials and operating complex equipment during emergency responses. The role is pivotal in mitigating environmental disasters and ensuring community safety and ecological integrity. Ideal candidates will be highly skilled in operating specialized machinery, quick decision-making, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Operate emergency response equipment and vehicles with a focus on safety and efficiency. Participate in containment, cleanup, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Maintain communication with the response team to ensure quick and coordinated actions during deployments. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure operational readiness. Adhere to all health and safety regulations set forth by the company and regulatory bodies. Proficient in operating heavy machinery and emergency response equipment. Ability to handle hazardous materials safely. Strong communication and teamwork skills. High level of physical fitness and stamina. Capability to work under pressure and make quick decisions. HAZWOPER certification (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) is highly preferable. First Aid and CPR certifications.
