Job Description:
Advance Innovative Solutions (AIS), a leading provider of VoIP
and Internet solutions for the pharmacy industry, located in the
Lombard, IL area is looking to add a full-time, junior-level
Software Installation and Support Specialist to its staff. The
ideal candidate will be a career-minded, technically oriented
individual with a desire to work in a fast paced, professional
business environment. Help desk experience is a plus, but is not
required. AIS provides attractive opportunities for growth and
development, including training on some of today's latest
technologies.
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs system troubleshooting and installation
functions for the company's software products. Monitors and records
user issues, identifies and resolves user problems, and maintains
problem database. Schedules, plans, and coordinates vendor and
customer resources to complete system installations and updates
successfully and on time. Installs hardware and software remotely
from the company's corporate office and occasionally at customer
locations nationwide. Acts as technical advisor to customers
implementing the company's solutions and to the company's potential
customers. Sets up and maintains PC's both at company headquarters
and at remote locations. Reports to Manager, Systems Support and
Installations
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides customer support for a range of company applications
spanning multiple systems and platforms.
2. Performs project management/installations of company software
packages, along with associated hardware and third party software
on a wide variety of PC's and servers
3. Performs basic system training to customers following
installations
4. Interfaces with users, consultants, technical teams, and vendors
to determine the most appropriate type of hardware and software
configuration for each installation
5. Coordinates installation schedules with multiple vendors and
customers to successfully complete the installations
6. Refines and improves the installation techniques, documents, and
manuals to promote trouble-free installation and usage
7. Compiles message scripts for recording with information
submitted by customers and crops and edits these messages when
received from the studio
8. Participates in sales presentations for perspective customers
and performs demos of company software features
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Courteous, professional manner, placing primary importance on
delivering superior customer service
2. Strong written, verbal, and telephone communication skills
3. Excellent organizational and planning skills
4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and manage time
effectively
