Forum Financial is a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm and we serve our clients through a fiduciary planning process. We are seeking a motivated HR professional to join our team to oversee several areas of the HR function including recruiting, benefits, recognition, and HR administration. This position reports directly to the Director of Talent and Organizational Development.
Job Responsibilities & ActivitiesHRIS and General HR

  • Make recommendations and manage process improvements on HR related tasks to create more efficient processes for recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and benefits administration
  • Provide support in system testing and upgrades of our HRIS platform
  • Employee employment verifications as needed
  • Conduct annual HR audits to identify ways to improve our procedures based on state and federal laws as well as best practicesRecruiting
    • Create and update job descriptions and post to various job boards to attract new talent
    • Manage postings of open positions from end to end to ensure company, state, and federal guidelines are met
    • Phone screen candidates to identify potential matches for our open positions
    • Work with hiring managers and candidates to schedule interviews and assist in the moderation of the interviews as needed
    • Collect feedback from interviewers to keep the process moving and provide updates to candidates
    • Use a variety of strategies to attract top talent including attending job fairs, networking with colleges and other organizations, developing a social media strategy
    • Assist with the drafting of offer letters
    • Partner with compliance to ensure that background and reference checks are completedOnboarding
      • Manage new hire paperwork and provide information to payroll in a timely manner
      • Provide support for the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transitionCreate and maintain employee files Benefits
        • Administer various employee benefits programs: group health, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k)
        • Develop and manage communication material for annual enrollment process and as needed to increase employee understanding of the benefits
        • Oversee annual enrollment process including working with our brokers on plan design changes and contract renewals
        • Manage Qualified Family Status Changes (QFSC) by collecting documentation, processing changes and answering questions
        • Answer ongoing employee benefit questions
        • Administer COBRA and employee leaves
        • Review and manage unemployment claims with appropriate documentation
        • Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representativesEmployee Engagement and Recognition
          • Identify and manage quarterly culture builder activities that can promote a strong work culture
          • Assist in the development and management of our recognition program
          • Create and manage content on our intranet to focus development of our employer branding, recruitment, and benefit programsPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
            • 2+ years of Human Resources experiences
            • Strong analytics skills
            • Exposure to HR principles, practices, and laws
            • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
            • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
            • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
            • Preferred: Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
            • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
            • Plus: Experience working for an RIA or similar organization
