Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Glenview, IL Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $1,538 to $1,732 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 6 Weeks Start Date: 3/8/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) City/State: Glenview, Illinois Shift: 12h Night, Nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00 Contract Length: 42 weeks Start Date: 03/08/2026 Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. The nurse will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure Care for post-cardiac surgery patients and those undergoing cardiac interventions Management of various cardiac assist devices and therapies, including Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump and Impella Administration of medications, including IV paralytics and sedation Management of ventilated patients and utilization of high flow nasal cannula Performance of advanced critical care procedures and monitoring Requirements: 2 years CV ICU experience; must pass an EKG test Active IL nursing license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Epic experience required Preferred charge experience Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS Core Mandatory Part I Core Mandatory Part II (Nursing) Core Mandatory Part III
