Key Job Details – Illinois Healthcare Jobs Location: Harvey, IL 60426 (Chicago metro area) Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026) Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Type: Travel surgical technologist job, On-Site Weekend Coverage: 24-hour call coverage required Estimated Weekly Salary: $1730 - $1860 per week OR Tech – First Assist Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent experience as an OR Tech, preferably in Labor & Delivery and OB Active Illinois state license (required at time of submission) Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Proficient in circulating for C-sections, neonatal resuscitation, sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, external fetal monitoring, and assisting with epidural placement Ability to provide professional references, including one from a direct supervisor or manager COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Operating Room Tech Responsibilities Deliver first assist support in the operating room for Labor & Delivery and OB cases Circulate for C-sections and assist with epidural placements Conduct sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients Utilize external fetal monitoring and assist with neonatal resuscitation during deliveries Participate in 24-hour weekend call coverage Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Apply now to join our healthcare team as an OR Tech – First Assist in Harvey, Illinois, and take your surgical technologist career to the next level!
