the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Correctional RN in Chicago, Illinois, 60608! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Correctional
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg is
required. Correctional experience preferred. License: Current
active nursing license is required. Certifications: Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification is required. Must-Have: Ability to
float within the facility as needed. Willingness to work every
other weekend. No requests for time off on holidays or the days
immediately before or after holidays. Maximum of 5 days off with no
more than 2 consecutive days. Local candidates preferred; must live
within 75 miles of the facility. Description: The position involves
working as a Registered Nurse in a correctional setting. The nurse
will provide patient care in a medical-surgical environment.
Responsibilities include utilizing rapid response and code teams as
needed. Nurses will manage peripheral lines and provide oxygen
administration and airway management. Employees must adhere to all
isolation precautions and wound care protocols. Clinicians may be
required to float to various units based on patient care needs.
Flexibility and adaptability to float outside of primary competency
areas are essential. Team-based models will be used when exceeding
competency areas. Candidates must respond promptly and meet all
