Field Sales & Corporate Accounts----Position Overview: The Business
Development Manager - Field Sales Northeast is responsible for
achieving sales objectives outlined in the annual budget. The BDM
manages execution against volume, distribution and pricing
objectives and is instrumental in initiating and developing
significant volume at targeted operators and distributors in their
respective region. The BDM executes account plans utilizing full
range of resources and negotiates long term value for both Custom
Culinary and the Customer. Promotes our Purpose Driven Strategy.The
annual budget for the sales territory is established based on prior
year s performance and overall company objectives.Territory range
$11M - $14M net sales annually; territory includes New York,
Eastern PA, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Rhode Island,
Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and
Maine.--Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The Business
Development Manager will be responsible for managing the Custom
Culinary sales agency in their multi-state region.Sales/Volume
Execution achieves/exceeds sales and profit goals for current and
target customers in respective territory.Develops and executes
broker initiatives by market to ensure strategies are in place to
achieve sales goals aligned to the company Operating Plan.Provides
leadership and direction to all critical broker support roles.
Provides broker feedback and improvement plans on-going to assess
effectiveness.Resources locally, regionally, and nationally to
ensure focus on our product lines.Establishes market
plans/priorities, objectives and strategies that deliver Custom
Culinary objectives within defined corporate goals and aligned to
our Purpose.Develops Joint Business plans with strategic
distributors and ensure execution through sales agency.Creates
customer acquisition strategy for Operators delivering strong
performance and customer loyalty.Represents Custom Culinary in
market and at industry events with a dynamic communication and
presentation style.Leads presentations, training, and insights to
influence and persuade stakeholders to make decisions.Creates
demand for Custom Culinary products and services.Employs critical
thinking and data analysis to drive execution strategies.Develops
multi-level, cross functional relationships with distributors and
operators to maximize visibility and results within customer
departments.Manages trade spending to ensure Custom Culinary trade
investments are effectively utilized to our profit goals and
ROI.Monitors customer activity to assess the impact of marketing
programs, pricing actions, and volume/growth programs.Provides
timely information necessary to internal departments to meet
external customer requests and conducts analyses to identify full
range of benefits, risks, and costs.Using strong computer skills
including MS Office suite, effectively manages administrative
responsibilities, which include information requests, Forge Trade
Spend Tool, G2 Analytics, Forecasting, Sales reports
etc.--Requirements:Bachelor s degree required, plus 5+ years of
foodservice or retail sales experience OR equivalent/relevant
experience of 15+ years of foodservice or retail experience
requiredExperience managing a foodservice broker network and
generating sales in a similar go-to market strategyProven
experience in building and maintaining business relationships, with
strongnegotiation skillsAbility to effectively sell and develop
large, targeted operators in core strategic segments (Healthcare,
education, Travel & Entertainment, Regional Chains)Working
knowledge of and proven sales results with the food service
distributor segmentExcellent communication skills verbal, written
and persuasive presentation delivery, including virtuallyCulinary
Acumen required, including knowledge of food/taste trends and basic
food preparation and presentation knowledgeAbility to coach for
enhanced performanceInterpersonal skills to interact with diverse
groups of individuals and functional areas within the company and
outside the companyAbility to work effectively in a fast paced and
dynamic team environmentDesire to grow and take on new challenges
and opportunities including development (online, or through
sponsored programs)Ability to travel at least 50% (by both car &
