Job Description:

UIC Division of Specialized Care for Children seeks an Associate Director of Finance to direct all aspects of financial operations including general accounting, budgeting, auditing, and financial planning and reporting. *This position can be based out of any of our offices in the State of Illinois: Chicago, Mokena, Lombard, Champaign, Peoria, Rockford, Springfield, O'Fallon, Marion, or Olney. This position will primarily work from home with periodic statewide travel required.**Duties & Responsibilities* Serve as the chief budget officer by directing the overall financial operations of the Division of Specialized Care for Children including financial accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, auditing, grant management, capital budgets and other financial planning activities. Interpret, develop and implement fiscal policy in compliance with federal, state and university policies. Monitor compliance and implement changes as necessary. Oversee and direct the planning and administration of financial reporting, accounts receivable, auditing, and third-party reimbursement and reporting. Review and provide an analysis of program proposals to determine fiscal impact and make recommendations for budget allocations. Coach, counsel and advise senior management, including directors, associate directors and officers regarding financial matters. Identify and develop opportunities and services to maximize revenues or reduce expenses. Oversee the analysis of new revenue services and provide recommendations. Performs other duties as assigned. *Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree required, in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years accounting or financial analysis experience in a supervisory capacity. *Preferred Qualifications*
Certified Public Accountant preferred.
