Job Description Job Description Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that the products released for customer shipments meet quality standards. Your primary role will be to support the organization by maintaining high standards of quality through rigorous inspection processes. Responsibilities Perform inspection and testing in accordance with prints, drawings, and test work instructions. Maintain inspection records of production parts checked. Conduct 1st piece inspections, in-process inspections, and sample final inspections. Calibrate equipment and maintain records as needed. Utilize test equipment to ensure conformance to prescribed standards. Read and comprehend written instructions. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Essential Skills Proficient in inspection and quality control processes. Experience with calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years of experience with gauges and micrometers. Why Work Here? The building is organized into departments, and you will work on the right side in the Harting Cable Solutions department. Each candidate will have their own station or rotate among stations, ensuring a structured and efficient workflow. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
