Job Description Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on the production floor of a plastic molding facility. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, handling breakdowns, installing various machines for different products, and working on extrusion lines. The position requires expertise in pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and involves setting up production lines, managing changeovers, and working with PLCs. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and address breakdowns. Install and set up different machines for various products. Work on extrusion lines. Manage pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Set up production lines and handle changeovers. Work with PLCs for machine operations. Essential Skills Electrical and mechanical repair skills. Experience with electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with extrusion molding and injection molding. Proficiency in hydraulics and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications Industrial maintenance experience. Electrical skills with 3 phase motors, 240-480V, relays. Mechanical skills involving pumps, motors, belts, and pulleys. Experience with plastics, preferably injection or extrusion molding. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a long-term position on the 3rd shift, from 10pm to 6am, with occasional Saturday work. The work environment is in a plastic facility, which can be hot near the machines. Six new machines and lines will be installed, providing exciting opportunities for growth. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work shirt. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Des Plaines, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
