Consulting Associate in Environmental Geology/Science/Engineering
to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. The role involves working on
site investigation, remediation, and hazardous waste management
projects across the Great Lakes Northeast Business Unit, with
potential travel nationwide and globally. This position offers the
chance to collaborate with ERM's technical experts, gain experience
with the latest investigation and remediation technologies, and
work towards professional registration.Responsibilities:
- Conduct field work including sampling of soil, sediment,
groundwater, surface water, and overseeing drilling, soil logging,
monitoring well installation, and construction oversight.
- Coordinate and oversee drilling, surveying, and laboratory
services.
- Provide construction oversight on environmental remediation
projects and operate/remediate systems.
- Analyze environmental data from soil, groundwater, air, and
sediment samples.
- Assist in preparing regulatory reports.
- Review groundwater chemistry data and create supporting
figures/exhibits.
- Perform Phase I and II environmental site assessments.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local
regulations.
- Manage work within project scope, budget, and schedule
expectations.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors, regulatory
agencies, tenants, and clients during field
activities.Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental
science, or environmental engineering, or equivalent of 6+ years
related experience.
- Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience, with interest
in fieldwork.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills;
experience in technical data and report writing.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a
consulting environment.
- Detail-oriented with mechanical skills and troubleshooting
ability.
- Environmental field experience and OSHA HAZWOPER certification
are a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% regionally, with some overnight
stays; 25% office work.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.About
