Acting as a site supervisor for H2I Group, the Project Engineer keeps in direct communication with the General Superintendent, MEP Foremen, and our Field team, leading to timely updates of project status and keeping current logs for what is needed to reach final scope completion. The overall goal is for H2I Group to proactively resolve issues and conflicts as quickly as possible, such that we meet the Project schedule on every job. Our Project Engineers will support our operations team by: Review approved submittals against the specs for Cost impacts when Releasing material. In collaboration with PM.Create/Update/Maintain the Project Takeoff - This is the initial activity the PE should start on when getting a project. Compare quantities to estimate and ultimate release. Provide this to the PM so any adjustments can be reviewed for a possible Change Order Proposal.Release: Ensure projects are ordered accurately and timely by purchasing. Maintain the Projects Procurement Log for consistent communication with all parties involved in the project. Provide timely, professional, well-documented responses to customers' inquiries concerning products, schedules, installation, conflicts problems, vendors, etc.Keep tracking of S&B logs and make sure anything needed on the project is being ordered. Develop & coordinate schedules to ensure projects are completed on time by setting milestone goals and monitoring them. Travel to job sites to inspect work and participate in various meetings.Overnight travel limited.Degree in a related field and/or practical work experience A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work and industry experience as a Project Engineer is required.
