Eaton's Electrical Sector is currently seeking a -Lead Power
Electronics -Engineer to join our team. This position can be
located in Raleigh, NC or Woodridge, Illinois. - -Relocation will
be offered within the United States. HYBRID work schedule is
offered! Position Overview: Responsibilities include the design of
power circuits, magnetic components, transformers, and
microcontroller-based control and communication systems. Making

you will:
- Work all aspects of electrical design including analog,
digital, power, magnetics, and thermal
- Design power converters with power ratings from 5 to 10,000
watts
- Perform simulation, prototyping and debugging for product
development
- Work with firmware engineers on all microcontroller functions
such as signal conditioning, digital I/O, communication circuits
and power converter control algorithms
- Ensure regulatory compliance of products by implement features
such as safety and EMI/EMC
- Create schematic and PCB design using Altium Designer
software
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers on physical and thermal
designs of products
- Provide test plans and procedures to lab technicians for
product bring up and evaluations
- Work with testing team to develop manufacturing tests (ATE) for
new products
- Work with suppliers and vendors on all issues related to
electrical design
- Improve product reliability by performing failure testing and
analysis Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of
Electrical Engineering experience, or Master's degree in Electrical
Engineering with 3 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without
company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Prior experience in power electronic products such as UPS,
AC/DC and DC/DC converters
- Prior experience in development of Li-ion battery and battery
management systems
- Transformer and magnetic component design
- Experience in simulations of power electronic circuits
- Embedded system design using ARM, Microchip, MIPs etc.
- Hands on experience with lab equipment such as power supply,
oscilloscope and electronic loads
- High Speed I/O application design, Transceiver, Signal
integrity simulation, Board level simulation What you'll get from
