Job Description SummaryMaintain and continuously improve the quality management system (QMS) and perform other quality assurance tasks to maintain the company's compliance to ISO 9001 requirements. Work closely with internal departments to ensure all aspects of the QMS is understood, implemented and maintained. The Quality Systems Engineer shall act of the voice of the customer (VOC) to ensure all customer requirements are implemented, documented and carried out in a manner consistent with customer specific requirements. Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAct as the Company's QMS Management representativeMaintain the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO documented guidelines and outlined company proceduresChair the corrective and preventative action program and its effectivenessProvide quality planning for process control and verificationProvide Quality Management System trainingResolve Supplier Discrepant Material issuesAssist in supplier qualifications and ratingMaintain supplier corrective action requests and effectivenessCommunicate Precision Gears customer quality ratingOversee the Document Control SystemOversee the calibration systemAssure proper maintenance of Quality RecordsOversee customer auditsMaintain Management Review recordsGovern the systematic disposition of discrepant material, and report outsCollection of quality related documentationFacilitate cross-functional process review and improvement meetingsDrive continuous improvement of the quality systems to achieve outlined company goalsMaintain company's safety program documentation to ensure adherence to outlined OSHA requirements and national standardsManage internal training program documentation and development to ensure training adherence at all levels of the organization SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position may require supervision of up to 5 employees TECHNICAL SKILLS Use of Microsoft Office, and ERP systems. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceMinimum of high school diplomaExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 work environmentDemonstrated organizational skillsKnowledge of effective team-building approaches, and team dynamicsDemonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks/projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability in analytical thinkingAbility to present complex or difficult messages clearly and persuasivelyLives the "continuous improvement" philosophy; develops and adopts new ideas and concepts LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulation.
