Description:This is a full-time, direct placement for InBalance ITIn Balance IT Solutions, LLC is seeking an energetic and highly motivated Controller responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, must ensure that all accounting and reporting is accurate and in accordance with the Company's business objectives and goals, and that appropriate internal controls are in place and in compliance with government regulations.The position requires to work as a part of a team that creates and implements business plans, financial projections, budgets, policies, and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to ensure processes are efficient and accurate. Be viewed as a business partner with Operations, Sales, IT, and our Executive Team.Reports To: PresidentResponsibilitiesDirect all aspects of day-to-day accounting, including all transactions related to general ledger, month end reconciliations, receivables, payables and payrollManage month-end and year-end closePrepare monthly financial statement packageAdministrator for QuickBooks, the Company's ERP systemDevelop and maintain all necessary accounting policies to ensure accuracy, compliance with GAAP, proper internal controls, in low risk of lossTrack, plan and manage cash, both incoming and outgoingSupport the budget and financial projection process, annual business plans, capital planning and financial analysisWork with IT to ensure proprietary system supports all aspects of data needs for effective financial processing, reconciliation, and reporting of financial dataExpertise in Quick Books to ensure Accounting System is working effectively and appropriately, including but not limited to: assigning roles, managing users, maintaining a proper chart of accounts, financial reports, queries, cloud updates, dashboards for senior management.Assist senior management in financial analysis and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for trackingPartner with company CPA firm on annual tax preparationAnalyze monthly financial variances with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, bankers and other advisorsRequirements:Qualifications7 plus years of general accounting and financial reporting experienceExperience working in a growing technology start up environment preferred, experience with billing subscription and monthly reoccurring revenue.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA a plusStrong organizational skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesExperience mentoring, hiring, and developing staffTax expertise in managing, filing, accruing, and reporting on all sales, state, and federal tax obligationsNatural leadership style with the demeanor, business maturity, intellect and integrity required to establish immediate credibilityBroad experience presenting, interacting, and influencing C-level executivesExpert with Excel and QuickBooks is a must. Ability to build custom reports in QuickBooksAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines, adaptable to changes and unexpected events
