Job Description:

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and account personnel. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.Responsibilities

• Responsible for Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Accounts Payable, Project Accounting, Financial Analysis, and External Reporting
• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close process
• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial/accounting information
• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
• Support Vice President and Director of Accounting with special projects, strategy and workflow process improvements
• Work with Vice President and Director of Accounting on reporting and monitoring organizational performance metrics
• Work with Vice President and Director of Accounting to ensure that relevant financial data is analyzed and presented to the President and Senior Management team
• Work with Senior Vice President of Operations and Senior Vice President - Process Industries to make sure they have the proper metrics needed to evaluate the performance of staff and projects under their control
• Coordinate with Human Resources and Information Technology in daily operations that cross over departments
• All other duties as assignedQualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • Masters degree and/or CPA preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive Accounting/Financial experience with setting company strategy and analyzing financial data
  • Experience in an Architectural, Engineering, or Professional Services environment required
  • Experience with Deltek required, experience in assigning security roles a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Management experience required
  • Must have experience in a project based environment
  • Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
