Description:Internal Description The Collections Specialist is responsible for contacting customers to collect past due account balances. He/she is also responsible for providing administrative support related to collection activities managing and maintaining customer accounts to ensure money is received within set timeline. Essential Job Functions: Review rejected invoices for validity - Will be given 200 accounts/customers per week (meaning they need to make 200 outbound calls)-Will be emailing a lot of to follow up with customers (OUTLOOK)Perform collection activities in order to meet current goals and metrics Forward rejected invoices on to the appropriate parties for resolution -Use Excel on a daily basis (Must know V-Lookups)Verify payment status of outstanding invoices Document interaction with customers Review and recommend action for slow/poor paying customers Prepare and maintain demand letters Resend invoices and statements as required Review outstanding customer report Work with sales representative as instructed by management to support collection efforts to improve collections and customer knowledge of credit, billing and collection policy Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to timeSkills:Collections, Collections customer service, Excel, Outlook, Outbound callsTop Skills Details:2+ years of Collections experience Customer Service Excel (Need to know V-Lookups)Additional Skills & Qualifications:2-3 years of collections experience is required Experience in the transportation industry is preferred (PLUS have)Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interface with customers and internal personnel Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment Proficiency with software programs such as MS products Lotus Notes is preferred; data entry skills are required Must be a team player with strong organizational and problem solving skills Must be able to work with minimal supervisionExperience Level:Intermediate Level About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
